James Breeden is a founding member and Managing Partner of Uno Trade. James has more than 25 years of experience in trade remedies and litigation support consulting during which he has assisted law firms and companies in both market and non-market economies. James specializes in the economic analysis and financial and cost accounting issues associated with trade remedies matters. He has participated extensively in trade remedies proceedings conducted by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the U.S. International Trade Commission in addition to matters before the Department of Trade Remedies (Brazil), the Ministry of Commerce (People’s Republic of China), the Ministry of Commerce & Industry (India) and the European Commission. Leveraging his extensive knowledge of government trade laws, regulations and practices, James has developed systematic and proven methodologies to assist and support legal counsel and companies in achieving successful results in trade remedies proceedings.
Prior to joining private practice, James worked at the U.S. Department of Commerce as a senior analyst in the Office of Antidumping and Countervailing Duty Enforcement in which he was responsible for managing trade remedies proceedings, leading verifications of foreign respondents and modeling dumping margin programs using SAS software. While at the U.S. Department of Commerce, James was recognized for his contribution to the antidumping and countervailing duty regulations published by the U.S. Department of Commerce in 1998.
